Canada is a multicultural country made up of many origins. In the past, two European nations, England and France, were the non-native founders of what is now called Canada. Today however almost one of every three people in Canada comes from ethnic backgrounds other than English or French. Many Canadians have more than one ethnic origin and recognise this with pride.
